Dress of the Week: Enzoani “Indira”

Our featured “Dress of the Week” is the “Indira” by Enzoani.

We have been enamored of sleeves recently, and this gown caught our attention. The way “Indira”  fits, tying around the waist really flatters a woman’s beautiful curves.

We also love the sweetheart bodice complimented by the sheer lace neckline. When looking closely at the details you can see just how delicate the carefully embroidered fabric is.

We admire the long train this dress provides! There is nothing like walking down the aisle and having the drama of a beautiful long train of gorgeous fabric behind you.

The plunging back adds the right amount of sexy to a classic shape.

O say can you see…

…this festive red, white & blue margarita!  The Curtain Up Events team cooked this up ourselves to get started celebrating the 4th.

unnamed

Recipe makes one (1) Margarita. Adjust your recipe according to the number of guests you are serving!

CUE Patriotic Margarita:

2 ounces of your favorite tequila

1 ounce of Peach Schnapps (our fancy twist!)

1 cup of strawberries with the stems removed

juice of 1/2 a lime.

Mint sprig to garnish.

Assemble all of the ingredients in a blender and fill with ice, blend until the consistency is nice and smooth. Before pouring, wipe the rim of each glass with a lime wedge, and then lightly salt each rim. Voila! Your drinks will look professionally done! On a side note, our blue salt was created by adding a few drops of  food coloring into a bowl of  plain salt, however, once the drink began to melt- it got a little messy. We suggest you skip the food coloring, as our fingers may still have a hint of blue on them! Our mixologists are certain that this margarita is sure to be a hit at your Independence Day gathering this year- enjoy responsibly!

Cheers!

  – Joe

Reem Acra “Divine Girl”

We are proud to feature the “Divine Girl” wedding gown by Reem Acra for our “Dress of the Week.”

We are loving this strapless dress we’ve selected from Reem Acra‘s Spring 2014 collection.

I especially love how the triangular lace design reveals and defines the torso while bestowing a slimming effect at the waist. And be sure to take a close look at that lace to truly appreciate the gorgeous design chosen by Reem Acra for this dress in particular.

Also, the way the fabric overlaps as it wraps around the bust adds still another level of elegance to this gown.

This is an exceptional dress for the bride who wants to feel like a princess, yet still flaunt an edgy-meets-classy air.

“My inspiration this season was royalty of the past and present, naming each gown after a queen. In this collection, I combined soft and romantic fabrics with the dramatic detailing for which I have become known. It’s about a beautifully executed, elegant gown that evokes emotion in a bride. This is achieved in each gown and will definitely make every woman feel royal!” ~Angel Rivera, Designer
