{CUE Real Wedding}: Ali + Mark, part 2

Ali and Mark choose CinemaCake to capture their special day, and they did a phenomenal job! But don’t let me tell you about it, watch the video below and see for yourself.

A short  version of the video was live edited and shown at the reception so the couple could watch it with all of their guests. Above is the extended version.

{CUE Real Wedding}: Ali + Mark, part 1

Ali and Mark choose to keep things classy with an elegant black and white, flowerless wedding. The couple had a beautiful ceremony at world famous St. Patrick’s Cathedral which finished in classic NYC style as a saxophone player serenaded the newlyweds and their guests as they exited down the cathedral steps.

It was then on to Le Parker Meridien NY for the cocktail hour and reception in the penthouse pool and Estrella penthouse, respectively, which provided breathtaking views of the city below.

For the cocktail hour CUE transformed the penthouse pool into an elegant event space.

The escort card table, draped in white linen, was covered with black faux crystals upon which laid the escort cards, each hand-crafted into delicate feathers. Candles of various sizes, some with crystal lining, stood behind the table numbers. A black rococo mirror set above the table reflected the candlelight adding a romantic touch of opulence.

CUE created a modern, clean, black and white theme in the Penthouse space for the reception. Sheer white draping flowed out from the center chandelier to the four corners of the room. Each column of the penthouse was enveloped in a dramatic layer of white sheer voile giving the room a dramatic air. Round dinner tables were draped in white linen and set with black cotton napkins for contrast. Table numbers in black ink were set in white resin Rococo frames and each table also had an elegant black, crystal draped candelabra.

As a final touch, the room was filled with frosted white votives.

The girls at CUE had a fabulous time putting together this unforgettable wedding. Congratulations to Ali and Mark as they begin their new adventure together!

Xoxo,

Sheri

{CUE Real Wedding}: Elizabeth + Robert

New York City is a destination favored by all – whether you come for a vacation, Broadway show or to live here. There’s also no doubt that many newlyweds choose this unique city as their wedding destination. Many dream of venues around Central Park or at prestigious hotels, but what if the girls at CUE were to say that you could find just as amazing of a space right outside of Manhattan? Newlyweds Elizabeth and Robert surely found a hidden gem when selecting their ceremony venue. Located at Brooklyn Bridge Park, they had the city itself for a back drop as well as the river surrounding it. Add a gorgeous day, friends and family plus a hotspot called reBar for your reception and you’ll have one of the best days of your lives!

{CUE Real Wedding}: Martina + Michael

Romance is the central theme of any love story and red roses are a universally recognized symbol of romance. When many fantasize about their perfect day they envision it abundantly adorned with those scarlet petals. Newlyweds Martina and Michael were thrilled to realize their dream. Using plentiful pops of red and retelling their romance by replacing table numbers with the names of places meaningful to them, Martina and Michael successfully created a wedding based on the true reasons for their happiness.

The girls at CUE had a blast planning this wedding as well as executing it. Congratulations to Martina and Michael and may you create many more rosy memories together as husband and wife!

{CUE Real Wedding}: Rani + Jay

Many people dream of having a New York City wedding, so why not do it in style? Rani and Jay held their unforgettable wedding at Gotham Hall and totally transformed the space into one of the most festive weddings we’ve seen! By incorporating their Indian heritage into all the fine design details of the ceremony and then proudly displaying their New York attitude in a rocking club-style reception, Rani and Jay treated their guests to two stunning and completely contrasting experiences – and made turning over the space an ambitious but fun adventure for the CUE girls. From setting up the programs and escort cards to inflating a giant monkey, all while directing over five hundred guests, this event was one that will surely be remembered.

{CUE Real Wedding}: Jade + Ryan

The elegant mid-May wedding between Jade and Ryan at Glen Cove mansion provided the perfect romantic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for this Manhattan couple. The simplicity in design, the pops of pink color, and the romantic glow of candle light in both the ceremony and reception tied together the special details for this estate wedding.

The girls of Curtain Up Events were found working their hardest to transform this rustic mansion into something special by adding little details throughout the space. With the banisters swagged with sheer fabric and gold ribbon, the windows lined with flower petals and candles, and the isle glowing in the dusk light, everything came together for this rather intimate affair.
