Good morning! My dear New Yorkers, I hope this Friday morning finds you well! And what better way to bring on the weekend than by gazing upon yet another masterpiece by Oscar de la Renta?
Before I present this I want to mention a happening that occurred to me a few weeks back. Upon accompanying a client to her buyer’s remorse dress search at Wedding Atelier on 5th Avenue, one of the stylists said something that truly resonated with me:
“The first thing everyone sees is your silhouette – not the lace, not the pattern, not the diamonds – just your shape.”
With this in mind, Look 8, which Oscar de la Renta has gifted to those to-be brides out there in his 2014 collection, does just that. This ivory silk Mikado draped gown exemplifies elegance. It’s simplicity allows the silhouette of the bride to stand out.
And now, with great excitement, I present: Look 8 of the Oscar de la Renta 2014 Bridal Collection.

This ivory silk crepe cowl back gown features a floral corded Chantilly lace appliqué tulle cathedral veil, an antique silver brooch and silver ring both with multi crystals. The gown is complemented with the ivory swiss dot lace Victoria pump with ivory satin trim.
Thank you for reading! And stay tuned for another Dress of the Week next Friday, but also check with us more often as I will be leaving more lovely notes for you throughout the week!
ciao y besos,
