Oysters XO is an innovative culinary experience that spices up any event and offers something unique and unexpected. The attraction lies in the presentation and the interactive experience between guests and the Oyster Girls. They move among party guests with buckets around their waist while they shuck and serve tasty, high-quality oysters. It’s all about the way the girls turn on their charm as they serve these succulent ocean delicacies.

This week we chose a wedding dress that is far from traditional. Kimberly by Vera Wang is a bold red, floor length dress with several different textures. These gorgeous textures start at the neckline, with hand-cut Chantilly lace applique placed so that the edges of the lace sit against your skin like semi-transparent wisps of flower petals, or springtime leaf buds. The uninterrupted layers of organza have perfect fluidity as there are no seams between the skirt and bodice. There’s also a ruffled, cascading effect in the bottom of the skirt. An almost-obscured, big, abstract flower floats in the base of the skirt – just a little burst of pleated tulle and eyelash tissue organza that is so lighthearted and joyous. On the back of the gown there is a beautiful, voluminous train that is tacked and bustled, with floating pieces of lace appliqué inserted into the organza layers that pop. This gown is the definition of controlled chaos.

Any bride is sure to make a breathtaking entrance with Maggie Sottero’s Jalissa. Captivating and dramatic, this whimsical full A-line of Chic Organza touts an asymmetrical sweetheart neckline and angular transition from fitted bodice to full skirt. Layers cluster and swirl and release into rosettes, adding detail and dimension in grand scale. Paired with a detachable ribbon belt with Swarovski crystal beaded embellishment and finished with corset back closure. This exquisite gown is available in white, diamond white, or diamond white/blush as shown.
