This past summer the CUE girls had the opportunity to plan and execute a bridal shower for one of our favorite brides at the Trump National Golf Club located in Bedminster, New Jersey. The venue alone is simply breathtaking, but we found ways to add various design elements to make her event different than the rest. We used the dominant color Courtney had chosen for her wedding as the primary theme in transforming the room.
Right before guests entered the main ballroom, they were greeted by a wishing tree centered on a table with the escort cards and favors surrounding it. Note cards were provided for guests to write their well wishes to the happy couple then tie them to the branches of the tree. The golden box that held the note cards was a great find from the mother of the bride.
Ribbon “flags” were attached to swizzle sticks imparting a festive and fun touch to the lemonade stands.
This playful sign was crafted and calligraphed by our very own, Kiki! It helped guests differentiate between traditional and “spirited” lemonades.
One of the favors guests received were yellow parasols they discovered hanging on each chair. These proved particularly fun for photos. The guests loved them!
Besides floral centerpieces, yellow and cream M & M’s branded with Courtney and Paul’s names were placed in glasses. Also on each table the bridesmaids and parents of the couple had provided cherished memories of the bride which were printed and framed. Each table had a different story, so guests were mingling from table to table reading what was shared.
The grand ballroom!
With the food stations serving, drinks flowing and lovely ladies in sun dresses congratulating the glowing bride-to-be, this bridal shower is certainly one that will remain on everyone’s list of top parties!
